Hi, I went through the page and I think this article qualities as a wikipedia article. He founded the “journal of pidgin and creole languages” and was its founder editor. This is a premium journal of its field. Also look at this volume which was published in his honour: ‘Thornburg, Linda L.; Fuller, Janet M., eds. (2006). Studies in Contact Linguistics: Essays in Honor of Glenn G. Gilbert. New York: Peter Lang. p. xi-xii. ISBN 0-8204-7934-9.’ LexLobster (talk) 06:32, 3 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi, I went through the page and I think this article qualifies as a wikipedia article. Please consider the following reasons:
1. He founded the “journal of pidgin and creole languages” and was its founder editor. This is a premium journal of its field.
2. Also look at this volume which was published in his honour: ‘Thornburg, Linda L.; Fuller, Janet M., eds. (2006). Studies in Contact Linguistics: Essays in Honor of Glenn G. Gilbert. New York: Peter Lang. p. xi-xii. ISBN 0-8204-7934-9.’
3. He is an academician, who primarily worked before internet era. So applying availability of Google Scholar profile as one of the criteria is not right. LexLobster (talk) 00:59, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

Feedback
The reviewer, Jerodlycett, left the following feedback:
This draft's references do not show that the person meets Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for people. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:
  • provide significant coverage: discuss the person in detail, not brief mentions or interviews lacking independent analysis;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the person, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
No significant changes since last review. Sources need to be independent and offer significant coverage of the subject of the article.
