Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Tony Mafia, from its old location at User:Littleclown27. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 10:36, 19 July 2025 (UTC)

Is it OK to use AI to finetune Articles?

I am enjoying contributing to Wikipedia (specifically in my field of interest in the Arts) and am not shy to admit that I have inquired with ChatGPT to ensure that I reference and cite notable facts in the proper way. Something that as a beginner I did not find very easy to get my head around. The support that AI eventually gave me was not what I thought it would be and many mistakes were made. My question is; is this frowned upon? Happy to change my approach if this is the case. Just making sure I get this right! Thanks. Littleclown27 (talk) 10:28, 20 July 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Florent Chavouet 1 (July 21)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Dan arndt was:
This appears to be a duplicate of another submission, Florent Chavouet, which is also waiting to be reviewed. To save time we will consider the other submission and not this one.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Genomes.io (July 24)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by DoubleGrazing was:
This draft's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article. In summary, the draft needs multiple published sources that are:
Make sure you add references that meet all four of these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Please cite online versions of these sources, I'm sure they exist for most if not all of them. As it stands, it's impossible to verify them, and it's not even clear what some of them are (eg. what is 'WHYY' – website, magazine, organisation of some sort?).
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:17, 24 July 2025 (UTC)
Will work on this. Thanks! Littleclown27 (talk) 13:21, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Genomes.io (July 24)

Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by S0091 was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: What they say about themselves is not useful. The only source that might meet the criteria is WHYY but still most of that is based on what those involved with Genomes.io say so weak. S0091 (talk) 17:26, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Florent Chavouet (August 8)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by MCE89 was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Please add secondary, independent sources analysing his work (e.g. reviews of his books or commentary on his artworks) in order to demonstrate that he meets the notability guideline for creative professionals
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Information icon Please refrain from making edits generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology) in Wikipedia pages. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Cremastra (talk · contribs) 15:21, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Hey @Cremastra- thanks for pointing this out. As disclosed before I use ChatGPT as an aid but make sure to triple check before I submit. If you can point out which sections are bothersome I will make sure it prevents any confusion. I don’t mean to cause havoc. Just to be as effective as I can. Thanks! 2A02:C7C:9A9E:E800:D85C:E4E0:5C1A:F5BF (talk) 15:24, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for divulging. AI causes more trouble than it's worth (because you have to triple check, as you do), and is pretty strongly discouraged here. I'd strongly encourage you to just not use it in the first place. Cremastra (talk · contribs) 15:25, 8 August 2025 (UTC)
Thanks - will do! It has helped me to get into things and I need it less and less. I was also made to understand that even though it is not encouraged it is not in violation of any Wikipedia policy. Not sure which edits have been reverted now but I can assure you I have been working on all of this for the biggest part of the day. Littleclown27 (talk) 15:30, 8 August 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Genomes.io (July 24)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Pythoncoder was:
Your draft shows signs of having been generated by a large language model, such as ChatGPT. Their outputs usually have multiple issues that prevent them from meeting our guidelines on writing articles. These include:
Please address these issues. The best way is usually to read reliable sources and summarize them, instead of using a large language model. See our help page on large language models.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
