Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Google Chrome OS has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://gizmodo.com/5339157/is-this-the-first-real-screenshot-of-chrome-os (matching the regex rule \bgizmodo\.com).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 13:00, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Open Studio (IDE)

The article Open Studio (IDE) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no assertion of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Ironholds (talk) 00:18, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Open Studio (IDE)

I have nominated Open Studio (IDE), an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Open Studio (IDE). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ironholds (talk) 00:37, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

It shows no evidence of notability. Articles on wikipedia must be notable, and for things like software we have the general notability guideline. Basically you need to show that the project has been covered in multiple reliable, independent sources; sources which pass WP:RS and aren't written by anyone associated with the project, really. As far as I can see it doesn't do so, hence why I've nominated it for deletion.

Warm welcome

Hi moonwolf. I appreciate your contributions. Sorry things are going the way they are for you, it was rough for me too my first few months. Let me know if I can help you in anyway. Message me okay?

Your Opinion is More Important than You Think Barnstar
Hello, Moonwolf14, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like wikipedia and decide to stay. I am sorry that there are so many impersonal warning messages on your talk page. There are many editors who feel that your hard work here is important and valuable, especially me.
Need help?

If you are looking for help, you can just type: {{helpme}} ...and your question on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer. Or, please visit New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have!

If you have any questions at all, please message me. Again, welcome! Ikip (talk) 01:10, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

From user:ikip

Thank you for the Barnstar....Actually, i use to be on Wikipedia a lot before i got banned for mis-using (they say, i was using it like myspace) it...I admit....But i have actually re-signed up to help out with the wiki....I have made edits to a few articles already including SharpDevelop (see version 4.0 on the article page) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moonwolf14 (talkcontribs) 01:14, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

I was indefinitely banned before.
Rootology was indefinitely banned, then came back and became an admin!
There is nothing to be ashamed of, if you have changed your behavior for whatever reason.
I had a lot of articles which got deleted, and I left wikipedia several times, because I was so discouraged, but about 18 months ago I found the group, the Wikipedia:Article Rescue Squadron and now I help new and old editors rescue articles. It has changed my perspective on wikipedia. I was looking over the article that was just nominated that you created, and that is how I ended up here.
I will watch your page now. If there is anything I can do to help, or if you just want to BS, drop me a message. Ikip (talk) 01:23, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
I personalized your barnstar :) If you prefer the old way, you are welcome to change it back.Ikip (talk) 01:35, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for the Barnstar..again...Anyway, about the resources for the article, there is a forum talking about my application/article. Will that help save my article? It has a whole sub forum commited to the development of it....Moonwolf14 (talk) 01:42, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
No, it won't.
Do you see the Google references below the name on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Open Studio (IDE)? This is the only way to save it, adding references to the article. You have to add references to the article. You can also add {{Rescue}} to the main page, which will list it on the Wikipedia:Article Rescue Squadron. You could also mention this page on WT:ARS. Ikip (talk) 01:48, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

The article you created was just deleted?

Here is some information which also may help:

Thank you for your help! I guess my project won't live on Wikipedia until a future time. At least i have a sub-page for it. But I will stay with wikipedia and help it by editing, creating, etc on it! Moonwolf14 (talk) 02:08, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
That makes my day, I am ecstatic to hear this. if your article is deleted, this can help you too, the deleted article can be retrieved:
More information List of administrators who will provide copies of deleted articles ...
The article you created was just deleted?
All is not lost. Here is what you can do right now:

Many administrators will be happy to give you a copy of your deleted article, either by putting it on a special user page for you (a process called userfication) or by e-mailing you a copy.

Once you have the article, you can try to resolve the issues why it was deleted.

If you've repaired the article, or you believe the reasons for deleting the article were in error, you can dispute the deletion at Deletion Review. Generally, you must show how the previous deletion(s) were in error, but this is the place to resolve disputes about whether a deletion was wrong.

Ikip (talk) 03:24, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Would this count as a userfication? If it doesn't...I will have it userficated...Moonwolf14 (talk) 03:28, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Put {{db-author}} on that page, which will delete it. you can't do this will there is a deletion discussion. An administrator has to userfy if it is deleted. Ikip (talk) 05:30, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
Oh......OK.....I think i get it now....Moonwolf14 (talk) 12:03, 12 September 2009 (UTC)
I see you had it deleted. Your learning! I created a help page for another new user on his user page: User:TodWulff which may help you too. Again, let me know if I can help in anyway. Ikip (talk) 16:16, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

An article you created maybe deleted soon: Tools which can help you

The article you created: Open Studio (IDE) may be deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether the article you created should be deleted here:

The faster you respond on this page, the better chance the article you created can be saved.

Finding sources which mention the topic of the article you created is the very best way to avoid an article being deleted {{Findsources3}}:

Find sources for Open Studio (IDE): google news recent, google news old, google books, google scholar, NYT recent, NYT old, a9, msbooks, msacademic ...You can then cite these results in the Article for deletion discussion.

Also, there are several tools and helpful editors on Wikipedia who can help you:

1. List the page on Article Rescue Squadron. You can get help listing your page on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
2. At any time, you can ask any administrator to move your article to a special page. (Called userfication)
3. You can request a mentor to help you: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond to you before responding on the article for deletion page.
4. When trying to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. These acronyms don't need to intimidate you. Here is a list of acronyms you can use yourself: Deletion debate acronyms, which will help you argue that the article should be kept.

If the page you created is deleted, you also have many options available. Good luck! Ikip (talk) 01:49, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:45, 12 September 2009 (UTC)

Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions

We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:

Views/Day
Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
Quality
Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.

The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:

Content
Is more content needed?
Headings
Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
Images
Is the number of illustrative images about right?
Links
Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
Sources
For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
