You have been told by an administrator not to remove sources. Also, you had a real bad start here if you think that two sources (unverified by the way) outsource FBI and others, or prove a consistent "balance" to one side. I advise you to familiarize yourself with editing rules and sourcing. Take this as a gentle warning. CoryGlee 13:10, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- The page listed him as a spree killer for forever and I have more sources. I have added a plethora of sources calling him a spree killer, and the books also reference a ton of sources inside of them. I have looked at these two books and they back me up. And what does "unverified" mean? These sources had been here forever before a bunch of I.P. addressees added "serial killer" to the page, which is not what the sources say.

- replied on Cunanan talk page. Not interested in interacting with you. You will probably be blocked soon. I added a tag because you didn't reference properly... Not even ONE of your sources CoryGlee 04:45, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- I cannot see why you are so mad at me. If you would have used your head you would have noticed that I just started editing this website and am not familiar with each and every feature of it like formatting references. And I will not be blocked soon and don't understand that part. I have followed all of your instructions and have used article talk pages and personal talk pages. I have discussed everything through and this negative admin interaction you speak of was before I added all of these references. Please realise that not everyone on this planet is as knowledgeable as you might be when it comes to wikipedia. Motherwell6 (talk) 20:38, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- I will let it pass, and I wish you good luck and happy editing. Just a subtle detail if you truly want to avoid blocks, etc. Beware of using uncivil words, as you did in your second sentence. Happy editing, and I hope that you learn how to cite properly soon! Best wishes. CoryGlee 20:47, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry for the incivility as I was rather frustrated when I wrote that. Motherwell6 (talk) 03:33, 15 December 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to living or recently deceased subjects of biographical content on Wikipedia articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
