Question from Adybriggs (23:25, 6 February 2026)
Hi, I've placed an amendment on the site for Wishful thinking the group regarding the song Hiroshima which was written by my father Mr Norman Briggs not David Morgan. My father wrote it for Mr Brian Allender at Sutton Place in Surrey. --Adybriggs (talk) 23:25, 6 February 2026 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – February 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (January 2026).
- Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.
- Voting in the 2026 Steward elections started on 06 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC) and will end on 27 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC). The confirmation process for current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.
Question from Scl52 (18:22, 10 February 2026)
howdy, I found some misleading (but trivial) statistical information on an article I looked up and curious what the right way to resolve it would be.
The article is for the film They Came Together, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Came_Together
The "summary" sidepanel thing claims a pathetically low box office of $82,780, citing https://m.the-numbers.com/movie/They-Came-Together, which actually has no domestic box office information for the movie. I did some lazy googling and couldn't find any source for domestic box office that wasn't just wrongly re-citing this.
I think it should be corrected but not sure what the right way to do that would be and dont want to just sign up for wikipedia and start deleting things from pages.
Something I thought of after writing that: is there a programmatic way I can list which films use the same website as a citation for their box office numbers? I would assume a lot of other films are going to have a similar problem.
Thanks for your help. --Scl52 (talk) 18:22, 10 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Scl52 Hello, and apologies for the long wait! In my opinion, the best solution would be to simply add "(international)" after the box office amount. For the latter question, I believe this search will help you out. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 22:52, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks! That helped. Scl52 (talk) 01:12, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Wackybugmortician (21:27, 20 February 2026)
hey! my question is a bit simple but im still a little confused; when im editing a page, is it recommended that the edit remain apathetic and unbiased? to be read and everyone can reach their own conclusion on the page? --Wackybugmortician (talk) 21:27, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Wackybugmortician Hello! Edits should be most certainly unbiased. It's one of our five pillars. Everyone should be able to make their own conclusion from reading the text. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 22:05, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
Question from Sam collins ug (08:59, 24 February 2026)
How can I add my article on Wikipedia --Sam collins ug (talk) 08:59, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Sam collins ug Hello! There's quite a lot that goes into creating a page; first, you want to determine if the subject is notable. You'll need to find multiple reliable independent secondary sources with significant coverage of the subject. If you cannot find enough sources, then the subject is non-notable and does not deserve an article. Then, draft your article in the draft namespace, and once you've finished, submit it for review via Articles for Creation.
- This is all a very involved process, and I recommend you don't start out with creating articles. Wikipedia has many policies on content, and many factors need to be taken into account when writing content. I've put many links on your talk page that should help you get started. In any case, I recommend you see Help:Your first article for more information. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 21:01, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
Question from Rollercoasterdreams on Jim Diodati (06:15, 26 February 2026)
Hi, I have a link to a news article that states Jim Diodati (Mayor of Niagara Falls) endorsed the Conservative party leader in provincial government. I would like to change his party affiliation from Independent to Conservative. Would that be an accurate change? If so, how do I make that change?

Question from Demigirlboss (18:58, 12 March 2026)
Hi! Super excited to contribute to Wikipedia, it's been a vital resource for me my whole life. What's the minimum standard of expertise for editing technical articles? I mostly hope to contribute by adding/improving citations and improving the quality of technical descriptions regarding subjects that I'm knowledgeable on, so I wanna know which ones I'm qualified to edit and which ones are better left alone. --Demigirlboss (talk) 18:58, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Demigirlboss Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! There is no standard, bar, or anything of the sort, everything is designed to be free to edit (unless there's protection due to factors outside of our control) and the entirety of the encylopedia is supposed to summarize reliable, secondary, independent sources, being that it is a tertiary source. I suggest to edit what you can and be bold, if there are any issues those can easily be corrected. Try and follow the links on your talk page to help yourself get started. Hope this helps! mwwv converse∫edits 19:54, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
