From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome!
Hello, NilmaDole, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Nilma Dole-Williams, which appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.
As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.
Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! - Yes, I understand. But I am genuinely famous and I needed a wikipedia entry.
- Here, please take a look at all my articles on the internet already. It is not a mistake to talk about myself, if you understand. Please be kind to let my wiki entry be published! Thank you

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Wikipedia. When removing a maintenance template, please either ensure that the problem that the template refers to has been resolved, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as this change has been reverted. Take a look at getting started to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Thank you. Spike 'em (talk) 14:54, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Is there any way you can help? NilmaDole (talk) 14:55, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- No.
- Stop removing the templates. Spike 'em (talk) 14:55, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- If you remove the templates one more time, I will take this to WP:ANI. Spike 'em (talk) 14:57, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- what is WP:ANI? NilmaDole (talk) 14:57, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- What does it mean with templates? You aren't very clear and it doesn't make sense NilmaDole (talk) 14:57, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Removing the notifications at the top of the page about your page being an autobiography. Step away from the article and let disinterested editors assess whether you are notable enough to have an article. Spike 'em (talk) 14:59, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I am very notable. If you do an online search on me, then all the information will be displayed.
- How can I trust you anyway? Is your real name Spike 'em? It's hard to believe someone with a name like that to believe anything you say. NilmaDole (talk) 15:01, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Editors are under no obligation to use a real name on wikipedia. You can trust you no more that I can trust you, but wikipedia is based on consesus between editors. There is clear consensus from the community of editors that people should not directly edit articles about themselves, or someone they are closely associated with. Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. This means that you are repeatedly changing a page's content back to how you believe it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree with your changes. Please stop editing the page and use the talk page to work toward creating a version of the page that represents consensus among the editors involved. Wikipedia provides a page explaining how this is accomplished. If discussions reach an impasse, you can request help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution such as a third opinion. In some cases, you may wish to request page protection while a discussion to resolve the dispute is ongoing.
If you continue edit warring, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, or whether it involves the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also, please keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule— if things indicate that you intend to continue reverting content on the page. - What does it mean? I am sorry, it's not very clear NilmaDole (talk) 14:58, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Is there any way you can help me please? What are you talking about? NilmaDole (talk) 14:59, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- You don't own the article about yourself, so stop removing other editors additions / changes to it. Spike 'em (talk) 15:01, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- You clearly do not understand Wikipedia's policies and how to edit. You cannot just create an article about yourself because it does not align with Wikipedia's mission to be neutral and informative. Until you can learn these policies and how to edit appropriately, you need to stop editing. If you do not stop, you are going to have your account banned (your refusal to stop editing means you may be banned regardless). If you agree to stop editing the article about yourself we can talk about how to do it correctly, but right now I'm too busy undoing your work. Vegantics (talk) 15:02, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- I think it's not very polite to undo my work. Firstly, I am very notable and you can check evidence online. It's all true. I'll send you all my articles and pages published on me. I've also referenced my work extensively.
- I am also confused. You say you are a credible Wiki author but not sure what your real name is.
- It's just very confusing. I'll admit, I'm sorry, I'm learning Wiki's rules but I think it's very unfair to undo the work. It seems to be it's rooted in something other than honouring someone's life's work.
- I can also complain from my end about you. Don't worry about that. NilmaDole (talk) 15:05, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- You're right that I am not interested in honoring your life's work. I am interested in creating an online encyclopedia of factual, notable information that everyone can benefit from. I am not disputing that you may be notable enough to merit inclusion in Wikipedia (I honestly don't know), but it has to be done correctly. Can you agree that it would be very silly if I created an article about myself that said whatever I wanted and didn't let anyone make changes? The same is true for you, even if you are notable. Everyone has to follow the policies or else Wikipedia would just turn into a place full of random articles that nobody can take seriously. You need to take the time to read through the policies that User:Spike 'em and I have listed on your talk page because we do not have the time to hold your hand through every step of creating an article. Once you understand how to edit correctly and how to ask for help, then you can edit again. If you cannot do that, you should not be editing Wikipedia and your account will be banned. Vegantics (talk) 15:14, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Honestly, I really don't want to engage further in this discussion anymore. I also don't know your real name so it's no point even arguing with you.
- As for rules and regulations, I did tell you honestly that I'm new here but it doesn't give you authority to be rude to me. I'm sorry but it's not nice.
- Anyway I've got in touch with some admins to help me. I'll follow it up with them.
- Never mind about me, but I just hope you aren't rude to others who genuinely want to make a difference in this world.
- I also don't think you are a professional and knowledgeable person when it comes to knowing everything about cricket (the sport and not the bug!) considering that it says that you are somewhere in the USA and more into plants!
- So good luck and please don't be rude next time. I wish you the very best. Nilma NilmaDole (talk) 15:19, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Nilma Dole-Williams

The article Nilma Dole-Williams has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This subject fails WP:ANYBIO/WP:GNG as well as alternative metrics at WP:NCRIC. See discussions on the talkpage.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. JFHJr (㊟) 01:46, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hi there! Do you know Adhoc1234? Brand new account editing only your WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. It's a very unlikely place for a very new editor to start out. Cheers. JFHJr (㊟) 03:25, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
Nomination of Nilma Dole-Williams for deletion
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nilma Dole-Williams until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished. Please stick around
Hi Nilma, it looks like your autobiography is most likely going to be deleted. As others have pointed out, writing about yourself is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia, as it's very hard to remain neutral and objective about one's own achievements. I suggest that you let that article go for now, but please do stick around and help improve our coverage of cricket, especially women's cricket (just avoid pages about teams, matches, etc. where you participated). It's best to start by improving existing articles, relying on reliable sources such as published books and news articles, and avoiding primary sources such as interviews. pburka (talk) 20:45, 20 March 2026 (UTC)
- I agree with the above. And sincerely I believe that your very first edit in 2020 showed a good intent to improve Wikipedia. About 228 others have been for your own self-interest, and most will probably be removed from your publicly viewable contributions once your WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY is deleted. I hope you'll take time to digest WP:BLP and WP:RS (it takes a long time), and keep contributing to entries unrelated to yourself and anyone you know. Once it's not about you, the precepts are not too onerous, and getting it wrong occasionally doesn't feel as hard. Cheers. JFHJr (㊟) 03:12, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
