I understand that full restoration of an article deleted through AfD may require contacting the deleting administrator or seeking Deletion Review. It is not certain exactly what you want. There are 330 edits going from 2006 all the way up to January 2024. There is already an existing article at Lexi Love. It was deleted twice, first by prod, then in 2018 via AFD. In 2024 Draft:Lexi Love was approved and moved to mainspace, which is what you see now: a full-fledged mainspace article. Why can you not improve it?

The article has existed for over 2 years, so I would say the prior AFD is no longer valid and all the deleted revisions can be restored uncontroversially unless there are copyright issues. However, I don't see how it's helpful to restore revisions that weren't acceptable for an article in 2018, especially since our inclusion criteria have gotten stricter. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 00:01, 10 July 2026 (UTC)

I am Selena Scola, the person associated with the earlier deleted Lexi Love article. The current mainspace article at Lexi Love is not about me. It concerns Clair Barnes/Cody Barnes, a different person using the same professional name.

My concern is identity confusion. Lexi Love is my long-standing professional name, used by me since 2004, and the prior article history at this title concerned me. I am not asking to be listed under Selena Scola. I am seeking to prepare a neutral, properly sourced article under Lexi Love, the professional name at issue.

I understand that no one owns a Wikipedia article title and that titles are decided by Wikipedia policy and community consensus. My concern is that the base title Lexi Love currently identifies a different living person, while my prior article history and professional identity are also tied to that name.

The notability issue from the 2018 AfD is important. Any new draft would need to address it with reliable independent sources. Since that discussion, the notability record is materially stronger. I am covered under my legal name, Selena Scola, including in connection with Scola v. Facebook, and I have used Lexi Love professionally since 2004. I am also a SAG-AFTRA actor and the owner of Lexi Love® trademark rights. Those facts can be supported with appropriate citations in a neutral draft.

On the copyright issue, I understand that copyright concerns relate to copied text, images, or other protected content. My concern is separate: it is an identity, trademark, and title-confusion issue. If any deleted revisions contain actual copyright problems, I am fine with those portions being excluded or redacted.

Because I have a conflict of interest, I do not want to directly edit the current live article or make contested title changes myself. Separately, I believe the current article about Clair Barnes/Cody Barnes should be moved to a more specific title, such as Lexi Love (drag queen), Lexi Love (drag performer), or another title determined by the community, because the base title Lexi Love currently points to a different person and creates confusion.

My immediate request here is limited to restoration or access to the deleted material concerning me, preferably in userspace or as a copy, so I can prepare a neutral draft for Articles for Creation review. The current title issue can be addressed separately through the article talk page, requested move, or disambiguation process.

Ah, I see. There are two people going by Lexi Love. In that case we would disambiguate the title if both are in mainspace. The current mainspace article might be renamed to Lexi Love (drag performer) and the article about you might be Lexi Love (actress). That is no problem.

In order to separate the mainspace article from the deleted content, I had to move the current mainspace to Lexi Love (drag performer), which left the deleted history where it was. Then I restored the deleted history to mainspace, reverted the deletion templates and redirect reviisions, and moved the whole thing to Draft:Lexi Love (actress).

You can work on the draft there. The final title, if it needs to change, would be determined by the reviewer.

@HouseBlaster: This is a complicated matter, as this was previously deleted via AFD, and that deletion was upheld at DRV (granted, all of this was a dozen years ago or more). Looking at the history of the article, which was always rather sparse, I would suggest that you begin a new draft with sources post-dating the deletion. Once such a draft has been promoted to mainspace and the title is a blue link, ping me and I will be glad to undelete the underlying history, but I don't think that history should be restored prior to that. I know this raises something of a catch-22, but sources entirely post-dating the deletion, like this, and this, may well be a better starting point for an article anyway.
