Concerning the recent removal of maintenance tags on Draft:Allatra

Hi @Noospherix and @Deriannt, I noticed that some maintenance tags were recently removed. Since they were added by another editor, it may be helpful to pause and discuss the concerns before making further changes. In draftspace, tags are generally harmless in the short term and can assist with clarifying issues during review.

Could we give the tagging editor an opportunity to explain the reasoning behind the tags? Even if there is disagreement about their use, it’s usually best to assume good faith and sort it out here on the talk page.

OK, will do. I am not yet convinced of good faith in this case, but happy to revert assuming the issue is addressed in a timely manner. This really should be returned out of draft status. Thanks. Noospherix (talk) 17:53, 19 November 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to living or recently deceased subjects of biographical content on Wikipedia articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
