TAs at Operation Southern Spear

I haven't been able to keep up because of my husband's declining health, but more info here. Thx for the help, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 20:23, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

I'm very sorry to hear that, SandyGeorgia. The temp account responsible for the bulk of the vandalism was just indeffed. I know there were a couple other TAs making questionable edits. If they continue after this indef I will request page protection.
I hope you were able to have a joyous holiday season and that your husband sees an improvement in his health soon. OceanGunfish (talk) 21:11, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for the kind words; my husband's condition is terminal, but we were able to enjoy a brief New Year's celebration with our closest friends, who were happy to have those moments together. Thank you so much for keeping an eye on those TAs, and Happy New Year to you! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 21:16, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

  • Special report: What actually happened during the Wikimedia security incident?
A horrifying exploit took place, which could have had catastrophic and far-reaching consequences if used maliciously; instead, it seems to have happened by accident and was used for childish vandalism. How did this happen, and what did the script actually do?
