The page User:Odun Wire/sandbox has been deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. As the page met any of these strictly-defined criteria, it was deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been deleted are:
- It seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appeared to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. September 2025
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:18, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:46, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
- @DoubleGrazing:, you might want to check the new autobiographical draft he created. --bonadea contributions talk 16:17, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Odun Wire, please, give it a rest now. I don't want to block you, but I will if I have to. You shouldn't be writing about yourself at all, and if (as it seems) you're not notable enough and insist on attempting to create these autobiographies over and over, that will only end one way. Please find a different platform to tell the world about yourself. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:45, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- can you help me out? i have over 10 articles talking about me Odun Wire (talk) 16:48, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- Given what I've just told you, I'm obviously not going to help you carry on in the same vein. If you are genuinely notable (and the sources cited in your draft don't suggest you are, however many of those you have), someone may one day write an article about you, but that should not be you or anyone connected to you. (And if you're now approached by someone offering to do this for money, whatever you do don't pay them anything; see WP:SCAM.) -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 16:55, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- Can I get your contact? Because I don’t know much about this Odun Wire (talk) 16:58, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- Can you check my new editing I’m not publishing it just want you to take a look Odun Wire (talk) 16:59, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- Please don't go around asking people for their "contact": you've been trying to get this piece about yourself published since September last year, long enough to know how to get into contact with Wikipedia people on Wikipedia (and long enough to learn what Wikipedia is). Here: User:DoubleGrazing, how's it going? That's how you do it.I had a look at your draft and Bonadea is correct: the sourcing is not up to par. If an article in the Nigerian Guardian says things like "Odunwire's path to prominence has been defined by skill, consistency and a deep connection with his audience", then what we have is not a reason to assume notability but rather a reason to discredit the Nigerian Guardian. The page from the Nigerian Pilot reads like you wrote it yourself. More than half of that Punch article consists of claims that you made to them that they reprinted, about having millions of followers and gaining international exposure; the only thing it maybe actually reports is that you hosted a live stream event. And that Business Day article, that's maybe the worst of em all. The more I look at those sources, the more I am inclined to propose a block per WP:NOTHERE. Drmies (talk) 17:08, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
- ok thank you ill just stop Odun Wire (talk) 17:15, 12 March 2026 (UTC)
