Please add new messages to the bottom of the page. If a conversation is started here, I'll respond here; if it starts on your talk page, I'll respond there.
I prefer to communicate via talk pages. Please only email me if there is a good reason not to conduct a conversation on a talk page. I do not respond to emails regarding link deletions and other issues that should be discussed on your userpage or the article talk page.
Hi when this filter was triggered I think there was a message saying "don't worry your edits haven't been lost", but the edits haven't been automatically reinstated - do I have to do them again? (And, if I do them again is it going to trigger again!?). Thanks! Ansidhean (talk) 13:32, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
Per my response here, the filter has been fixed and shouldn't trigger for you again. I did not reinstite your edits because someone else edited it after the false positive. OhNoitsJamietalk 13:39, 1 May 2026 (UTC)

Searchers fix
Nice job setting straight that reference. It's great that some people here know how to do things right. ~2026-15196-07 (talk) 18:55, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
Thanks for helping me catch the date discrepancy; that's when I noticed the link had rotted. Cheers, OhNoitsJamietalk 18:58, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
I noticed you salted a bunch of draft pages that Timelash socks have been targeting such as Draft:Draft:Jack Massey Welsj and Draft:Mizzy (prankster). Although it prevents them from creating it under the same page again, I don't think it's an effective measure as LTAs like Timelash use work arounds to evade things such as create protection. There are an infinite number of combinations they could use to bypass the salting such as using capital letter instead of lowercase (as create protection is case sensitive), adding another character to it, using letters with accents, and a bunch of other ways. For example, this LTA created Draft:Mizzy, Draft:Mizsy, Draft:Jack Massey WeIsh (with a capital I), and a bunch of other pages which effectively bypass the create protection. It's probably better to use silent alarms than locks as it creates a honeypot page, which makes it easier to catch them. Similarly, thats why LTA usernames usually don't get added to m:Title blacklist as it effectively makes them harder to catch, and it won't prevent them from using another pattern. Another interesting thing about this LTA is that they intentionally misspelled the pages and requested them to be moved to the salted title at WP:RM/TR by using the excuse of a typo. --Prothe1st (leave me a message)-- 23:03, 4 May 2026 (UTC)
True that the salting probably doesn't do much, but that's not my primary method of detection/mitigation. OhNoitsJamietalk 01:08, 5 May 2026 (UTC)
@Ohnoitsjamie: I was looking at JASON (advisory group) where you reverted the page due to vandalism. I think the rollback you made restored a version that still contains the problem in the lead. The clean version appears to be the March 23rd version by Pave Paws, before the later edits on May 8th. Would you mind revisiting that page and reverting the lead back to that earlier version? Thanks. LocusAndLeaf (talk) 14:29, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
@LocusAndLeaf:This revert of a vandal edit was made by LTA Timelash. Per WP:BRV, all edits made by banned users usually get reverted (regardless of whether it's good faith or bad faith) and usually people don't check the content added. But in this scenario, it appears that the sock revert unfortunately restored a bad revision by mistake. --Prothe1st (leave me a message)-- 14:42, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
It seems that Timelash has now started making good faith edits such as reverting vandalism. See also Lznas's contributions. I will note this down on the LTA page. --Prothe1st (leave me a message)-- 15:20, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Yes, that's what happened; thanks for catching that! Fixed. OhNoitsJamietalk 21:27, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I’m Mr. racha. I want to know which of the links are inappropriate. I own none of the kendama companies that I linked down below, and unless you provide legitimate reason for removal, they will be added back. These companies are all individually owned and have their own products and services. I want to add them to grow the kendama community (which I have been a member of for 6 years now) and provide people with as much access to kendama as possible.
Thank you! Mr. Racha (talk) 19:17, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
Per WP:EL, Wikipedia is not a link directory. OhNoitsJamietalk 21:38, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Would you like the ability to impose UTRS bans? -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 13:25, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
Yes please! I actually had it years ago, but it did not carry over when we migrated to the new system (or maybe it was the prior migration? So many migrations). OhNoitsJamietalk 13:45, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
My pleasure.
can you please explain why this addition is getting blocked? everything is public, and in main media press. It is of public interest and is about Reproductive coercion.
