Please add the above over there in the Ambasth Kayasth page in the 1st para and also in the last para of the "Mythology and Varna status section".

My version includes the additional word"Western-Punjab" with proper reference.

I don't want to add this currently as I'm in dispute with him. He'll revert it immediately.

The above is the 2nd para of Mythology and Varna status.

He's calling Baidyas or Vaidyas UNCLEAN using some reference of the book. What was the need to add such things in the first place?!!

The Vaidyas(Baidyas) are considered Bhadralok or belonging to the gentry class.

But I think you have changed the wordings of the sentence.

The sentence should be THE SAME AS IT IS WRITTEN IN THE REFERENCE AND SOURCE THAT YOU PROVIDED.

Pandya101, your first edit was reverted by MarkH21 because it did not follow the neutral point of view policy. Writing "they are the best" seems to be a personal opinion that is too promotional, see WP:PEACOCK. It is not what the source says - it says they are very influential, which is very different. Wikipedia editors must summarize accurately what the sources say.

The second edit was reverted by me because it did not follow the copyright policy and plagiarism guidelines as described in WP:PARAPHRASE. Wikipedia editors must write and summarize sources in their own words, though limited quotations are allowed if they are attributed. See WP:PLAGIARISM and WP:INTEXT.
