How do I add an image --Qwertyking9090 (talk) 11:44, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
- In the visual editor, there is a insert button, if you hit that one of the options in the dropdown menu is media, click that and add your image through that. Pyrrhic victor (what did I do) In Solidarity 17:10, 19 August 2026 (UTC)

hii, i want to create articles on wikipedia, from where and how i start?? pls guide me sir --Prashantsaraswat771 (talk) 09:36, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
- I'd dissuade you from trying to make a article until you have a lot of experience with Wikipedia, mainly it's rules and standards. If you truly wish to do this wp:yfa guides you well, if you have any questions feel free to ask. Pyrrhic victor (what did I do) In Solidarity 17:59, 19 August 2026 (UTC)
Organized Labour September Editing Event

You're invited to join the Organized Labour community editing event, a cross-wiki event taking place throughout September 2026!
The campaign brings together Wikimedians interested in improving coverage of organised labour, workers, trade unions, and labour history. We have confirmed collaborations with Wikipedia language editions in English, Dutch, Persian, Serbo-Croatian and French. If you want to add other language editions or other wiki projects you are strongly encouraged to do so! This event spans geography and languages!
This is a one-time invitation. You're receiving it because you previously signed a petition related to Wiki Workers United (WWU). We hope you'll join us!

Question from ByAllAccounts42 (07:53, 25 August 2026)
Hi Pyrrhic victor - thanks! Excited to finally start contributing to Wikipedia. Have wanted to do it for years, but only just now taking the plunge.
I made a small factual edit to a page as my first try out. I think I did it mostly correct, but I forgot to add a summary note explaining what my edit was. Luckily this one is obvious, just a sentence with a citation, but I'll be sure to keep that in mind next time.
I noticed that for most citations, there's also an "archive" link to an archived version of the page. Is that just a best practice, or should I really make sure that's included as a critical piece of information?
Thanks for your advice! --ByAllAccounts42 (talk) 07:53, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
- It's not required to add an archived link, but it would be helpful if you wish to do so. It helps to prevent wp:Link rot, so doing so is appreciated, but not mandatory. If you have any other questions relating to this topic or anything else feel free to ask me. Happy editing - Pyrrhic victor (what did I do) In Solidarity 18:17, 25 August 2026 (UTC)
Question from Thwalingca on Help talk:List of tutorials and introductions (19:34, 27 August 2026)
Hello I want to make a story --Thwalingca (talk) 19:34, 27 August 2026 (UTC)
- While I don't wish to discourage you from writing a story, Wikipedia is not the place to do so, this is an encyclopedia not a story hosting service, I recommend you find a place designed for that. Pyrrhic victor (what did I do) In Solidarity 01:15, 28 August 2026 (UTC)

Question from Childgrove (04:36, 1 September 2026)
Hello, Pyrrhic victor, My interest is in English country dancing. Not seeing Dance as a category, I choose History. But if you have a better suggestion, that would be appreciated. On a personal note, I've been doing English country dancing for 50 years and teaching it for 30+. --Childgrove (talk) 04:36, 1 September 2026 (UTC)
- If you're talking about the newcomer homepage, I believe the closest category would be performing arts. Also, I've learned about a new thing today, so thank you for that. Have a good day - Pyrrhic victor (what did I do) In Solidarity 15:18, 1 September 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks, P.V. (if I may use that abbreviation). Since we don't perform but rather dance as recreation, I think I'll just stay with History. Childgrove (talk) 19:17, 1 September 2026 (UTC)
- That abbreviation is perfectly fine, and the interests is any topic you'd want to edit not just your interests. If you have any more questions about editing feel free to ask. - Pyrrhic victor (what did I do) In Solidarity 23:22, 1 September 2026 (UTC)
