Hello @U1ajl5xge2, I think you've put together an excellent article here. I don't see any part as being "overly detailed", but geographic regions aren't my specialty - I've only written a brief bit on Lake Oscawana, which has a much shorter history of occupation and little to review historically. Article length is broadly limited by WP:PAGESIZE, which stipulates that an article should be trimmed or split once it reaches about 10,000 words. Hopton, Derbyshire is well below that limit, as it barely reaches 3,000 words. If you are looking for a more detailed review, you are welcome to submit the article to Good Article nominations, though I'm sure the first thing they would note upon seeing it is that a couple sentences that are otherwise obvious could use footnotes (Hopton was a part of the East Midlands constituency, Bus routes that serve Hopton include the 110 and 111 to Ashbourne and Matlock, The school uses the Gell family crest as its logo...). -- Reconrabbit (talk) 22:10, 27 June 2026 (UTC)

The third round of the 2026 WikiCup ended on 28 June at 23:59 (UTC). As a reminder, good article nomination reviews now receive 10 points, while peer reviews, which continue to be worth 5 points, are now listed in the same section as featured article candidate reviews, rather than with good article reviews. You are correct that arbitration is the last resort in dispute resolution.

They have discussed their problems with your editing at the talk page of the article in question. If you are aware that you are in a contentious topic area and make edits that go against consensus, then a case may be made at WP:AE. Here, it is much more structured than WP:ANI, and restrictions are placed on editors if it is necessary based on editing behaviour. A full arbitration case is not needed. At this page in particular, it is not as clear what the restrictions are besides WP:ECR (doesn't apply to you or the person who disputes your edits, since you are both extended-confirmed), so they would have to prove you are making edits that go against consensus to have action taken. Same goes for you, against them.

At this point it seems premature for anyone to go to noticeboards unless they have more proof than I am aware of. See how all the sections at WP:AE have a lot of links to diffs with information on how they violate existing restrictions? -- Reconrabbit (talk) 17:38, 6 July 2026 (UTC)

I have to agree with Spintendo here. Orszag's membership of any one of these organizations as an advisor or trustee would be undue detail to include in this article, as there is no indication that any of these positions are on their own notable besides 'advisor to the National Academy of Medicine'. If there were articles detailing his involvement with, say, the Carnegie Endowment, then perhaps it would be worth including, but just having his name on a list of committee members is not particularly useful for a reader (what does it mean that he's a trustee or advisor? what did he advise or endow to this organization that got him on this board?). -- Reconrabbit (talk) 13:42, 15 July 2026 (UTC)

A first step to take, if you want to encourage editors to fix an identified problem, is to add maintenance templates to an article in-line where appropriate. In the first case, you can use {{Page number needed}}. In the second case, try {{Full citation needed}} In the third case, the best to use is {{Failed verification}}. Hi Reconrabbit, I notice that you removed the LLMPROD on this article. 40% of the remaining text is still the problem editor's (checked with mw:Who Wrote That? and I'm wondering how confident you are that all claims have been checked against sources. In my painful experience with this particular case (see WP:AINB § User:Global Donald) there are a lot of subtle sourcing errors--the sources exist but don't say what they're claimed to say.

Hello. I'm confident that this article does not have text-source integrity issues. The announcement date matches up, and the premise is consistent between the article and Deadline's report. Financing information is accurate per https://www.joblo.com/the-neglected/ and the early script-writing info matches Toronto Film School's blog. Hello. Since you unblocked User:Wmbata after their appeal, despite concerns raised by other administrators, I'd like to bring something to your attention.

I'm not sure if you're aware, but the user previously had issues involving meatpuppetry on certain topic areas, including on Wikimedia projects. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Wmbata/Archive

They may well have had a genuine change of heart and now intend to edit within Wikipedia's policies, which is welcome. I'm not an administrator, and I understand that the unblock process exists to give editors who acknowledge past mistakes an opportunity to contribute constructively. However, I think that any signs of a return to previous behavioural patterns should be monitored and, where appropriate, investigated.

For example, on the Etche article, the lead has long described the Etche as an ethnic group, consistent with the majority of notable published sources. User:Wmbata changed this to describe the Etche as an Igbo subgroup, after which I restored the previous wording. In my view, changes that appear to promote a particular point of view should be carefully scrutinised.

I'm not suggesting that the user's past conduct alone should determine how they are treated going forward. My concern is simply that edits on historically contentious topics should be assessed carefully on their own merits, and that any recurrence of previous behavioural patterns should be addressed through the usual community processes. This issue has been addressed multiple times and you have literally brought this issue up against me on Wikimedia Commons and again here on Wikipedia again. Previously, you have been involved on content dispute on the title Ichafu across Wiktionary, Commons and here on Wikipedia and have been nominating all ichafu images for deletion on Commons and an ANI was opened regarding this where an admin advised you to stop doing that and you shifted from nominating for deletions to requesting for file renaming. As an Igbo contributor i was involved as it fell within my scope. Then you brought an ANI here from Wikipedia where a user accused of being a sock of a user:Ifybeke to Wikimedia Commons. Also on Commons you explicitly stated that i was a sock of Ifybeke even after an admin/checkuser dismissed it here stating that we are technically not related (you disregard the resolved issue and still brought it up) and you heavily emphasized my block here on Wikipedia to discredit me on Commons.

Regarding the Etche article, multiple sources have been provided and we have not reached consensus and thankfully a third party has addressed our source dismissing them as irrelevant to a topic sensitive as Etche and i have been working to get more reliable source on that. Aside just me, you have been systematically targeting topics related to the Igbo ethnic group and this targeting had prompted me to take a look at why you are doing so and have discovered that you have been targeting articles related to one ethnic group(Igbo related articles), nominating them for deletions, removing sourced contents, and generally disrupting the edits. There is "wikihounding". I can't recommend anything between the two of you besides avoiding articles where the other is present, and abiding by reliable sources. Hello. He is also on other pages POV pushing. He reverted my neutral edit to a pro-Igbo edit that is unsourced with flowerly language. Its best if he is adviced to stay away from topics he is this much biased towards because it's problematic. Now, I cant revert it automatically because he used something called restorer. This is a deliberate to block. Please check out the diffs below.

I agree that the temporary account is trying to remove information relevant to Yoruba people. I am sorry I can't look into this in much depth right now. Hi Reconrabbit - you are my assigned mentor (thanks v much for volunteering, it is daunting as a new editor!). I'm looking at a company that I think would warrant a Wikipedia page and meet the notability guidelines. However, one reference I've found is a screenshot on the X/Twitter account of a journalist who wrote a story for The Times. I can't seem to find an online record of this article, but I presume from the screenshot it made the print edition. Do you have any advice on how this should be handled? I've also found an article from Politico which references the story in the paper saying it hasn't made the online edition of The Times yet.
