I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi RosePickfair. Thank you for your work on Egidio Casagrande. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for creating this biography for Casagrande, and article that also has much on his most famous work, Our Lady, Protector of Europe. Overall, the sourcing of the biography other than for this one work is rather lacking, and it would be great to find other sources in support. The statue is also covered at Shrine of Our Lady of Europe (Italy), so some consolidation of the two section on the same topic might be warranted. Meets WP:NARTIST through at least 'major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work'.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Klbrain (talk) 03:48, 21 September 2025 (UTC)

@Klbrain: Thank you for the feedback. I've expanded the article to include coverage of the Fontana Evita and additional workshop details with sourcing. RosePickfair 🌹 (talk) 12:17, 13 November 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Dan Estabrook (October 18)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Theroadislong was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
not clear how they pass WP:NARTIST?
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Hoary (talk) 23:20, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
In a thread above, a comment on this then-draft, now-article: "thank you for your recent contributions to an article relating to graffiti or graffiti culture". But Colectivo Subterráneos doesn't mention graffiti. It does of course mention activities that often co-occur with graffiti, and you named Graffiti as a (the only?) relevant WikiProject (which I suppose is what got you the comment above). Does the colectivo perhaps have a graffiti ingredient that you intended to write up but then accidentally omitted? That matter aside, it was a good draft, needing only the addition of categories (done, and I see that you've already improved on my work) and "deorphanizing" (still rather weak). I was happy to view it -- but I don't understand why you're still using AFC rather than creating articles directly. -- Hoary (talk) 23:46, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for reviewing the article and adding categories
Regarding graffiti: I'd tagged WikiProject Graffiti because the collective's artistic practice (unsanctioned, public, political street art) aligns with graffiti. I've since explicitly added the word "graffiti" to the article, as I do have a source describing their work as "large-scale graffiti murals" and "modern conventions in graffiti." Should sit better now, but let me know if more is needed.
On AFC vs. direct creation: I appreciate your encouragement. I've created some articles directly, but I've had notability flags stuck on articles about people even when I thought the notability was solid (for example, Erik Foss (artist) is still tagged after months). So now, whenever I'm working on an article about a person, I submit through AfC for the extra set of eyes. Risk management, basically. – RosePickfair 🌹 (talk) 00:41, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
I suppose one problem is that the meanings of graffiti keep mutating. (In some contexts -- not this one -- I find myself cynically wondering if it means any more than "something performed with a spraycan, to an effect that's marketable as 'edgy'.") I glanced at Erik Foss (artist) but found myself rather stumped by the terminology ("capsule collection", etc) but also dismayed by the amount of material -- "Despite being accepted to art schools, Foss chose a self-directed path", "he was later identified as intellectually gifted, with reported IQ scores exceeding 170", etc -- attributed to Foss himself. So I just updated one link (the only one I attempted to look at) and then quickly backed out. -- Hoary (talk) 01:26, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for being specific about the Foss article. It's a much older article for me (about a year, which is an eternity for me as an editor). I used to wrestle with the tension of notability versus puffery and formality. (And still do, to a lesser degree.)
I've liberally hacked at the article and rewritten a good portion of it. I think in its updated version, it reads as clearer, simpler, and hopefully communicates the notability better.
Your very kindly put "wtf" was just what I needed. If you're able to give it another look, I'd appreciate more feedback if needed. – RosePickfair 🌹 (talk) 22:46, 30 January 2026 (UTC)

I'd recommend nominating this article at WP:DYK - it's pretty rare for something video game/software adjacent to have a freely licensed image, so DYK reviewers/promoters might like to put some eyes on it. ScalarFactor (talk) 15:43, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
