Managing a conflict of interest
Hello, Simonesand. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Alkagesta, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the Edit Request Wizard), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. signed, Rosguill talk 15:14, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Additionally, many of your comments, such as this one, appear to have signs of LLM authorship. Please do not use LLMs to write content for talk page discussions, as this can lead to miscommunication and is highly disrespectful of fellow editors' time. Please see WP:LLMTALK for further guidance. signed, Rosguill talk 15:17, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- On the style point, I take your feedback on board. I tend to write in a structured way and sometimes over‑explain, but the comments are my own. I’m not using AI to generate arguments or content for discussions; at most I use basic tools for spelling or grammar. I’ll keep my replies more concise going forward.
- If there’s anything specific in my comments that you think needs adjusting from a COI or style perspective, I’m happy to take that on board.
- With utmost respect Simonesand, Simonesand (talk) 15:49, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Simonesand: I did not remove your comments. I collapsed them because using AI to generate comments is not permitted. Please stop. SuperPianoMan9167 (talk) 16:16, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
- Per my previous point, I wrote that comment myself. I know it was long, but I’ve been trying to understand the policies properly and explain the sourcing issues clearly. I’ve been working on this since the morning, and it’s discouraging to see the whole thing collapsed when I put real time into it.
- I took Rosguill’s feedback on board about keeping things shorter and less formal, and I’m trying to adjust. But the content and the arguments were mine. At most I use basic tools for spelling or grammar.
- I appreciate the feedback about keeping things shorter, and I’ll adjust. But it’s discouraging to see my work collapsed when I’ve put real time into it. I’m here to contribute in good faith, and I’d prefer if the focus stayed on the sourcing rather than assumptions about how the text was written. Simonesand (talk) 16:23, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

- Thanks for the note, @Rosguill. I understand the concerns. To clarify my position: I don’t have any financial or professional connection to Alkagesta or anyone involved with it, and I’m not editing on behalf of the company or any related party. My interest here is limited to the sourcing issues that were raised, and I’ve tried to stick closely to policy when commenting. Simonesand (talk) 15:48, 19 March 2026 (UTC)

- I fully respect your decision as an admin, but it was my first day and i put an effort, seeing that someone is willingly would like to spread a defamatory news in the Wikipedia. I picked up one topic and wanted to work on this until i give the result to the reader of Wikipedia - impartial content, based on reliable sources.
- If you look at all changes made in history- you will understand the intentions of certain editors. For instance, why someone should delete the source from Bloomberg and add instead the Maltese Herald.
- From Discussion page- you can even see that Mark Camilleri himself, opened a topic to push down his defamatory page. The person works on donations and fulfils the order. I believe, Wikipedia was not created for such a recruits who would write any fraudalent information just to be paid. But it was created with a people like us, who likes to write and state the facts! This should not be stopped! I appreciate your understanding. Simonesand (talk) 17:09, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
