Not using edit summaries

At List of Rugrats episodes, you just reverted 12 edits by 3 different editors without stating why. While the 24 straight edits you made immediately before that to 2014 Kids' Choice Awards without a singe edit summary seem to be reasonably clear, this is not the case at List of Rugrats episodes. I see you have been asked about this before (but did not respond) and have on rare occasions used edit sammaries (so you obviously know how to do it). I am reverting your edits to List of Rugrats episodes. If there is a reason for the edits, please use an edit summary to make this clear. Thank you. - SummerPhD (talk) 14:33, 30 March 2014 (UTC)

RE: Hitomi (Dead or Alive)

Are you working on Dead or Alive character articles as a whole? If you are you might take a swing at fixing Hitomi's reception section. It needs more to prove notability and those lists aren't helping. I started to AfD it even, but noticed you were active and figured you might be interested in fixing it up.-- Kung Fu Man (talk) 10:03, 10 June 2023 (UTC)

Information icon Hi Sonic100jam! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. QuestFour (talk) 10:31, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

Re: DOA stuff

Don't stress so much about it or Kasumi, I still plan to bring them to GA they're just going slower because of how much there is and trying to help others with some projects.

As it stands, have you considered using the info from Team Ninja Fanatics to start tightening up the info on the character list? Kung Fu Man (talk) 04:33, 7 July 2024 (UTC)

I have considered it! I'm also busy with some other projects but I will help with the DOA articles. Here's another source that would be useful with the DOA articles: Dead or Alive History Book 1996-2015 Sonic100jam (talk) 14:52, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
Yep, been citing that one too. It's a bit harder to though because it doesn't have a ISBN, but I cited the collector's edition ASIN number for amazon). Some of the text has been mistranslated too over the years from what I've seen, like the cosplay bit is more about them developing guides for cosplayers to use.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 21:50, 7 July 2024 (UTC)

DOA character sourcing

So ran across this, and I'm currently transcribing the reception: it's a motherlode. Like to the point I'm pretty sure I can write up a paragraph of reception for every girl in Venus Vacation up to that point. Coupled with a ton of sources I managed to compile on my tool bar, right now the following are likely for revival:

  • Helena
  • Hitomi
  • Honoka
  • Tamaki

Christie is kinda weak-ish, but thanks to a paper and a magazine article, and a lot of discussion in other magazine blurbs, she's also really close. It's a weird Death by 1000 cuts angle. I won't know if she can be pulled off until I find more sourcing. The main thing I wanted to ask if you had any sourcing on her or any of the other characters not listed above? We might as well compile sources, especially for any of the Venus Vacation exclusive girls and see where it goes. Kung Fu Man (talk) 04:40, 6 December 2025 (UTC)

So far, I haven't found any sources, at least not any English sources. Though I believe sources can be found from Asia, particularly from Japan, China, and South Korea, just like how I was able to find credible sources from Japan and China, detailing Tomonobu Itagaki's work on DOA and Ninja Gaiden, plus his time with Tecmo, Team Ninja, and Microsoft. It's more likely that credible sources can be found for characters that have more history in the series from the 90s and the 2000s. Seeing how popular Honoka has become in Japan despite her late addition, I had a feeling something could be found for her just like Marie Rose. I believe sources can also be found for Hayate and Rachel from Ninja Gaiden, and maybe Momiji from Ninja Gaiden as well. --Sonic100jam (talk) 17:49, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
Honoka I've got pretty down pat. I have a paper for Momiji, and a blurb from that Famitsu article I mentioned above, so she needs one or two really strong ones. Lemme know if you can find anything.
One character I'm really surprised I can't find anything? Zack. There's like a tiny bit in 4Gamer about Helena's ending, but for the most part I could never find anything. Which is weird given how forward facing he was for the franchise for so long as a male face (and a black character at that, which you'd think journos would acknowledge is rare in gaming).--Kung Fu Man (talk) 20:21, 6 December 2025 (UTC)
Zack comes to a surprise, seeing that out of all the male characters, Zack has made more appearances than any other male in the DOA games including the Xtreme games since he's the only male to appear in the Xtreme games. Also, I wondering if sources can be found for Lisa Hamilton since she's a DOA Xtreme original character who made her debut in the first DOA Xtreme game.
