If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:
- Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
- Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
- Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
- Provide a new username.
To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard.
Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. Mfield (Oi!) 19:53, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

(Non-administrator comment) Please be aware that if your affiliation involves receiving payment (e.g. you work for The Humour Awards, one of their affiliated organizations, or you are a third-party representative of their interests), then you must disclose as a paid editor. This is a higher standard of disclosure than a routine conflict of interest and is mandatory according to policy and Wikipedia's terms of use. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 20:30, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Draft article moved
Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:The Humour Awards, from its old location at User:Thehumorawards. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. If and when your account is unblocked, please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. - Wikipedia's paid-contribution disclosure policy. I commit to
- ensuring all contributions are factual, neutral, and sourced
- from independent third-party publications such as Vanguard,
- ThisDay Live, The Nation, and Tribune Online. I will clearly
- state this affiliation on my user page. Thehumorawards (talk) 21:15, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you. A volunteer administrator will review your unblock request when one becomes available. This could take some time (days or even weeks, depending on the backlog), so please be patient. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 23:00, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
- Hello, I would like to respectfully follow up on my unblock
- request submitted on 11 March 2026. I understand that volunteer
- administrators are busy and I sincerely appreciate your time
- and patience.
- To reiterate, I am the Social Media Manager for The Humour
- Awards and I fully disclose this conflict of interest. My sole
- intention is to create a factual, neutral and well-cited
- Wikipedia article about The Humour Awards, a notable Nigerian
- comedy ceremony that has been covered independently by Vanguard,
- ThisDay Live, The Nation and Tribune Online.
- I have proposed the username Spec2rum, which is completely
- neutral and unrelated to the organization. I commit to abiding
- by all Wikipedia policies including neutrality, conflict of
- interest disclosure and the paid-contribution policy.
- I would be grateful if this request could be reviewed at your
- earliest convenience. Thank you. Thehumorawards (talk) 12:45, 18 March 2026 (UTC)

- As already mentioned, it may take a long time for your request to be reviewed. As of today in the queue of unblock requests, the oldest request still awaiting review is 33 days old. There is nothing you can say or do at this point that will speed it up, so please be patient and wait your turn. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:41, 18 March 2026 (UTC)
