Hello, I'm Waxworker. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Mike Pollock (voice actor), but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Waxworker (talk) 15:35, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
Hello, I'm SleepyRedHair. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that in one of your recent contributions you cited a link to a source that may not be reliable. Sources considered unreliable should generally not be used to support statements. Information from an unreliable source can be challenged by other editors and removed. Reliable sources are generally those with a reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight. Self-published material, user-generated content, and certain other outlets such as blogs, wikis, personal websites, and websites or publications with a poor reputation for fact-checking may not meet these standards. If you are unsure about which sources are appropriate, there is a list of sources that are considered generally reliable. Additionally, some WikiProjects have their own lists of sources that are considered reliable for that particular subtopic. If you are still unsure about a source's reliability, you can ask at the reliable sources noticeboard. Thank you. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 15:09, 30 December 2025 (UTC)
Hello! Thank you for your efforts to improve Wikipedia, and in particular for adding references! However, adding a bare URL is not ideal, and exposes the reference to link rot. It is preferable to use proper citation templates when citing sources, including details such as title, author, date, and any other information necessary for a bibliographic citation. Here's an example of a full citation using the {{cite web}} template to cite a web page:
Lorem ipsum<ref>{{cite web |title=Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac |publisher=Canon Inc |work=Ask a Question |date=2022 |url=https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART174839 |access-date=2022-04-02}}</ref> dolor sit amet.
which displays inline in the running text of the article as:
- Lorem ipsum[1] dolor sit amet.
and displays under References as:
- ^ Download the Scanning Software - Windows and Mac". Ask a Question. Canon Inc. 2022. Retrieved 2022-04-02.
If you've already added one or more bare URLs to an article, there are tools available to expand them into full citations: try the Citer tool, or in the wikitext editor, try the reFill tool, and in the Visual Editor, the reference dialog can convert some bare urls into a full citation. Once again, thanks for adding references to articles. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 13:43, 31 December 2025 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to use disruptive, inappropriate or hard-to-read formatting, as you did at Jim Carrey, you may be blocked from editing. There is a Wikipedia Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason.

- And also, i added the information about him reprising his role as Cable Guy in Verizon commercial, after Carrey appeared as the narrator of the Weeknd's album Dawn FM, which released on January 7 2022, and before he was thinking about retiring from acting in April 2022. So placing this information between January 2022 and April 2022 can not have been hard-to-read. So i do not understand at all what i did wrong SuperMarcoFan (talk) 22:23, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
How was addding him reprising role as Cable Guy in a commercial inappropriate to add? He really did reprise his role as Cable Guy in a Verzion commercial which aired on Super Bowl in 2022 and even provided a source for it. Here is a link to the commercial so you know that I’m not making this up: https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/sports/verizon-goodbye-cable-super-bowl-2022/2022/02/13/e98b467b-9b5a-4e62-a88d-e100cbf3935d_video.html SuperMarcoFan (talk) 22:05, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
