I've just seen your signature on WP:ANI and on User talk:Bastruk, and the dark blue on black is essentially unreadable. I'll also point out that the talk page link seems to go to a completely different user. I'll assume you're still in the middle of changing it, but might I suggest testing it out in a sandbox and making sure it's following WP:SIG before leaving it on more talk pages? You should be able to make one under your userspace, such as at User:The Ars Goetia/sandbox - you can just edit that page containing your proposed new signature (even just with preview!) then once you've got it right you can copy it into your preferences. Alternatively, you can keep editing it in your preferences, and then just leave a signature on your sandbox with the usual four tildes (~~~~) and see what it looks like. I did something similar several years back when I was playing with new signature colours until I eventually decided I couldn't be bothered with it :D stwalkerster (talk) 23:22, 29 April 2026 (UTC)

Heya, welcome! I just wanted to let you know that as a new user, it's generally not a good idea to jump into the administrative side of things and especially not to get involved in threads at WP:ANI. There's often a lot of argument and hot tempers there, and it's best to keep threads as clean and straightforward as possible so that problems can be sorted out quickly and easily. We also get a lot of trolls so a new person jumping in can look suspicious and lead to increased scrutiny for you, which wouldn't be much fun. If you're curious and like reading through it that's not a problem at all! You can learn a lot about what's acceptable, what's not, some important policies and how disagreements should be managed. But I would really strongly recommend just reading for the moment and not adding your opinions unless the thread is about you (and if you can avoid ever having a thread about you, that's the best outcome!).

One tip you may like: if people start referring to things in all-caps acronyms, they're using a well-known shortcut. You can type WP: plus the acronym into the search bar to get into. So if someone said they think someone should get a TBAN, you could search WP:TBAN to find out what they're on about. That was one of the most useful things I was taught when I was new, so I'm passing it on to you :) Meadowlark (talk) 07:54, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for the tips! Yeah I saw the help requests on the user talk and usually those are easy to solve (someone wants to know why they got banned or needs help with so and so) But as a few users said the help request was used wrong and I ended up in water deeper than I could handle, hell I didn't even know about WP:ANI until yesterday when I got mentioned in it.
