Having your first article discussed at AfD can be quite rough. In the future, make sure you fully understand the relevant notability guidelines, in this case specifically Notability (organizations and companies). Also, sending your draft through the Articles for creation process can also be helpful, where experienced users can check to make sure your draft is ready for Wikipedia. Just type in Draft: and then the name of your article, e.x Draft:Example, and create the page there, then place the AfC submission template and click submit! Hi @Significa liberdade, thank you for reviewing my request.

1. Why I was blocked: As a new user, I completely misunderstood the WP:NPOV and WP:NOTPROMO policies. I mistakenly added content and links that were promotional and unencyclopedic. I fully accept my mistake and realize how it was disruptive.

2. What I will do differently: While locked, I thoroughly studied the core policies. I am now actively patrolling Recent Changes on the Hindi Wikipedia to remove the exact type of promotional spam I once added. If unblocked here, I will:

• Strictly write in a neutral, encyclopedic tone.
• Completely avoid adding any promotional content or questionable links.
• Focus purely on constructive tasks like anti-vandalism, fixing typos, and copy-editing.
• Always use Talk Pages if I am unsure about adding something.

Hi @Pppery. I am really sorry for using chatgpt for my last reply. English is not my first language and I was just scared my grammar would look bad to the admins. I won't use it again.

To answer honestly, I was blocked because I pasted promo stuff and links. I didn't get the NPOV rules back then and acted stupidly. I know now that it was basically spam.

Right now I am actually doing patrol work on the Hindi wikipedia and deleting the same kind of spam I used to make. If you give me a chance here, I will only fix simple spelling mistakes and revert vandals. No more promo links or adding bios at all, I promise. Hi @Izno. I clicked on those refs and they just led to 404 pages. I thought deleting broken links was the right thing to do to clean up the articles. I didn't know all the policies back then.

Later @FloblinTheGoblin messaged me and explained WP:DEADREF. I had no clue we keep dead links to fix them with archive sites. Since we had that talk back in Feb I haven't deleted any dead links. AMAN KUMAR (talk) 05:10, 23 April 2026 (UTC)
