I have noticed that when you need to add hieroglyph to a page, you often create a new image, however this is, for the most part unnecessary, instead it is preferred you use a tool called wikihiero because it prevents the creation of unnecessary images, allows it to be edited more easily and prevents the ugly blue background if you would like a guide to how, see Help:WikiHiero syntax PharaohCrab (talk) 16:21, 24 April 2025 (UTC)

Hello colleague, regarding your comment about the uselessness of hieroglyph images and the Template:Hiero preferences, there is a plethora of useless images on Commons. Apropos. If you transcribe a hieroglyphic inscription from the artistic decoration of ancient Egyptian mastabas or artefacts, then they are part of the art work so its transcription should be as faithful as possible. However, the capabilities of the deprecated Template:Hiero are limited, considerably, and the results are hieroglyphic distortions. This is the case with your transcription in the article Mastaba of Kanefer. In reality, it is a script on the door drum in the Louvre exhibited ^[1] and an extensive discussion of its origin can be found in Michael Baud.^[2] So you can compare the Louvre original and your hiero version with the clumsy sequence. I will create a new real image of that script and replace your defective notation again. If you have any other comments, write please. However, I would welcome some tolerance.
