Request to change the title of "Parametricism" to "Parametric Architecture"
The article Parametricism needs a substantial rewriting and reorganization. It is currently exclusively focused on Schumacher's definition, which accurately describes the term but provides limited context for a general Wikipedia reader.
"Parametric architecture" is a broader and more widely used term encompassing all architecture designed using parametric or algorithmic methods, whereas "Parametricism" only refers to the framework proposed by Schumacher. The latter is almost exclusively used in academic discourse. Additionally, treating the two interchangeably may confuse some readers. It would be more appropriate to have Parametricism as a sub-section within a Parametric Architecture article.
PS: I have just found this WikiProject and do not know if this is the right place to write this. I fully apologise if it is not! ~2026-11653-60 (talk) 20:32, 21 February 2026 (UTC)

Offering curated dataset of 200,000+ architectural buildings with Wikipedia links
Hello,
I've spent several years building a comprehensive database of architectural heritage buildings worldwide, I'm continuing work now and I'm looking to ensure this work has a lasting legacy.
Dataset Overview: ~200,000 well filtered buildings with geographic coordinates
Each linked to and originate from its Wikipedia article. So it is not Wikidata and its API. Data includes: link to wiki-article, architects, architectural styles/wiki categories, construction dates.
That is live web application to evaluate data: https://apalladio.org/architecture-around/
There are also android-application (GooglePlay) and iOS PWA.
Why I'm posting: I'm 65 years old and thinking about the future of this data. I'd like to:
Make the dataset available to the Wikipedia/Wikidata community Find someone interested in maintaining or integrating it Ensure the data remains accessible for researchers and enthusiasts
So my questions are :
Would this dataset be useful for Wikipedia/Wikidata? What's the best way to make it available long-term? Is anyone interested in helping integrate or maintain it?
I'm happy to provide samples, answer questions, or discuss the best approach for preservation.
Thank you for your time. Myropolskyi (talk) 15:30, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
