I am Kas Oosterhuis, the subject of Kas Oosterhuis, and therefore have a disclosed conflict of interest.

I have prepared a substantially revised and expanded version of the article at User:Kas Oosterhuis/sandbox, with additional independent sources and a revised structure.

I have submitted a formal conflict-of-interest edit request at Talk:Kas Oosterhuis, but because the proposal concerns an architect and is a substantial revision rather than a single edit, I thought an editor from WikiProject Architecture might be interested in reviewing it.

I am not asking for the draft to be accepted as written. I would welcome independent assessment, corrections, reductions or restructuring as considered appropriate under Wikipedia's policies.

Hello,

I am researching a 1954 cultural delegation to West Germany led by Clair W. Ditchy, then President of the American Institute of Architects, on behalf of the AIA. The delegation was assembled to advise on postwar reconstruction and included some of the most celebrated figures in twentieth century American design and architecture.

The confirmed delegation roster includes:

Charles and Ray Eames Richard and Dione Neutra George Nelson Richard Lippold Karl Kamrath J. Byers Hays Donald Sultner-Welles Thomas M. Beggs

The group's journey was eventful — the aircraft caught fire over Nova Scotia en route to Europe, an incident later recalled by Robert Motherwell in interview.

I have a photograph of the delegation that I believe is of genuine historical significance. Several figures in the photograph remain unidentified, and I have not yet located official correspondence or documentation related to the trip's planning, activities, or outcomes.

I am currently pursuing research through the AIA Archives, the Library of Congress, and the Archives of American Art at the Smithsonian. I am also reaching out to the Eames Foundation.

If any editors have encountered references to this delegation in their own research, or have suggestions for additional archives or sources to explore, I would be very grateful to hear from you.
