Hi, I'm hoping to add context to wikipedia about the growth of cannabis in the uk as it is woefully under-represented. I've created a draft of an entry here for a magazine but I would appreciate any input or suggestions before submitting it. According to reporting today, rescheduling is about to occur. I'm encouraging people in this WikiProject to help improve Removal of cannabis from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act § 2024–2025. It's pretty thin on explaining what the hold up at DEA has been and what action the president will take to get it moving again. ☆ Bri (talk) 15:24, 12 December 2025 (UTC)

CNN reported overnight that an executive order is happening tomorrow (December 18 in the United States). My understanding from other sources is that it will probably jump over the stalled rulemaking and order the rescheduling, perhaps by having the Attorney General do it directly, as is authorized at 21 U.S.C. § 811(a).

According to List of executive orders in the second Trump presidency, if this is issued tomorrow, it may become E.O. 14365. ☆ Bri (talk) 20:53, 17 December 2025 (UTC)

Since the AG ordered partial rescheduling today, and apparently on June 27, DEA will hold hearings for more rescheduling, many articles need updating. Including

• Legal history of cannabis in the United States and Timeline of cannabis laws in the United States (which by the way I'm not sure why both exist).
• Legality of cannabis by U.S. jurisdiction at least needs a change at the second paragraph of the lede covering medical cannabis
• Cannabis in the United States and Medical cannabis in the United States

I updated Cannabis policy of the second Trump administration and Removal of cannabis from Schedule I of the Controlled Substances Act this morning. There may be more affected articles as well.
