Bot misbehaving?
As of December 13th (maybe a day or so earlier) I am getting notifications (email) from deletion sorting sections that I am not subscribed to, and are not of interest. Everytime when this happens I get an email, then tracing I am subscribed. This just happened for "Medicine", it happened before for "United Kingdom", "Events", "Science", "Astronomy" from recent email logs. Ldm1954 (talk) 14:48, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- I haven't had anything similar happen to me but I'll let you know if I do. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 13:45, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
- Same! I'm getting notifications that I have replies. I have nominated articles in this category, but I'm not watching or subscribed to the page. Did you manage to fix it? Orange sticker (talk) 15:50, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- It has never been fixed. What I do is whenever they occur I unsubscribe from that category. Now there are less as I have unsubscribed from almost everything! Ldm1954 (talk) 15:53, 25 February 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll try that. Just started in the last 24 hours, very annoying! Orange sticker (talk) 15:58, 25 February 2026 (UTC)

Deletion sorting for Australian rules football
Recently, several AfDs related to the sport have appeared, some included in the deletion sorting of football/association football. Wouldn't it be time to create one specifically for the sport? Svartner (talk) 05:32, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- I think so. I recently created one for 'rugby league' for similar reasons as people kept mistagging rugby league articles into 'rugby union'. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 10:29, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
New deletion sorting tag for Suspected AI-generated articles
I've created a new deletion sorting tag for Suspected AI-generated articles (see discussion). There are many AI-generated articles which speedy deletion criterion WP:G15 does not apply but nonetheless contain verification and tone failures.
Detecting AI-generated content and judging whether its reparable, is whole another skill set than determining notability and would benefit from attracting expert. Ca talk to me! 08:51, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
Making WP:DST easier to navigate
I love Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Compact. I find it a great way to go find deletion discussions based on whatever topic I feel like discussing or researching. However, to me the greatest weakness of the page is that it does not allow you to know how many discussions are active at any moment in any of the DelSort pages. For that you have to open each of those one by one, often to be faced with an empty page. I know it is probably not an issue for many people, as I suppose most editors only use a few of these pages and simply watchlist them. Still, I would love to be able to see at a glance how many active discussions there are per topic directly on the overview that WP:DST provides. I have no idea if it would be technically easy to implement, but I figured it was worth asking, in case it might be an interesting prospect to others. Choucas0 🐦⬛ 14:57, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- I think it would definitely be useful but I lack the ability to know how to create this. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 10:28, 29 April 2026 (UTC)
