Featured article review for Orion (mythology)
I have nominated Orion (mythology) for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets the featured article criteria, or help improve the article. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Delist" in regard to the article's featured status (see review instructions). – Michael Aurel (talk) 13:47, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
Dubious article Law of abode
The article "Law of Abode" is about the law that Zeus had to follow (that if Persephone ate anything in the underworld, she'd be cursed to stay their forever). I know of nothing in the myths that mentions the law by name or even implies it exists (Zeus seems to make rulings with no reference to older laws). The reference does mention the law:
"Finally, Zeus had to yield. He informed Demeter that she could reclaim her daughter so long as Persephone had eaten nothing during her sojourn un- derground. But if she had accepted food, then, under the ancient Law of Abode, she would have to be considered a guest, not a captive, and must remain as Hades' bride."
"Hades had already sped to Olympus and claimed Persephone as his bride under the Law of Abode, because she had eaten the seeds. Whereupon Demeter decreed that no crops would grow if her flower- princess had to become the bride of Death. Zeus compromised, and his judgment was final. Persephone would have to spend six months with Hades, a month for each seed."
I feel like this modern invention, or at the very least rarely attested and too vague for an article. I'm thinking it can't be improved and needs to be removed, but thought I'd see what others thought.

- @~2026-33082-45: Yes. As far as I can tell, that page is giving a name to something that doesn't need a name. Evslin (who is cited, and isn't reliable) does use the term, though he appears to be the only one. I've redirected the page to Persephone, though it should probably be deleted. – Michael Aurel (talk) 14:22, 17 June 2026 (UTC)

Genealogy of Japanese deities
I noticed an issue with the article on the genealogy of Japanese deities.
This article doesn't specific if this is based on Kojiki or the Nihon Shoki. It doesn't specify if this is based on the most widespread view in the Shinto religion. CycoMa2 (talk) 16:54, 24 August 2026 (UTC)
