Removing births and deaths of the year articles - 1900-1979
Continuing the discussion from my talk page, we seem to have a disagreement on whether the entries for the births and deaths should be removed for the years of the 20th century. I feel that to avoid BLP issues, it should extend all the way to 1900 and not at some point in the middle of the century.
- Pinging: @Alalch E.:, @Jameboy:, @Ttocserp: for input. Interstellarity (talk) 22:08, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
- For the record, I am opposed to this. The only reason we split Deaths for newer years is size reasons, because there's a lot of them. A category link isn't good enough IMO. QuicoleJR (talk) 00:31, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
- @QuicoleJR How do you feel about splitting births? Do we split it for size reasons as well? I'm saying this because most of our people articles are from the 20th and 21st centuries. Yes, we do have size problems for the newer years, but we also have size problems with older years up to 1900 as well. Interstellarity (talk) 14:17, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
I would like to rename all articles with titles "[decade] in [region demonym] history" to "[decade] in [region noun]"

Restore leaders section
Let's discuss about the possible restoration of Leaders section in decades articles. this is a better version with autocollapse and classification of leaders by continent. Example is the seventies leaders but this shape is common for the articles from 1780s to 1970s. history can'not judge the leaders of 80's and 90's before 2040 and 2050.
