Gordon Clapp (North Conway, New Hampshire, el 24 de septiembre de 1948) es un actor estadounidense más conocido por interpretar a Det. Greg Medavoy por las 12 temporadas de la serie de televisión NYPD Blue, ganando un premio Emmy en 1998.[1]

Vida temprana y educación
Clapp nació en North Conway, New Hampshire. Se graduó en el Williams College en 1971.[2] En Williams College, conoció a los frecuentes colaboradores David Strathairn y John Sayles. Clapp también estudió en el Instituto Nacional de Teatro en el Centro de Teatro Eugene O'Neill (otoño de 1970).
Carrera
Clapp ha aparecido en numerosos programas de televisión como Check it Out! y Night Court, así como numerosas obras de teatro. Sus créditos cinematográficos incluyen Return of the Secaucus 7 (1980), Running (1979), Matewan (1987), Eight Men Out (1988, como el receptor de los Chicago White Sox Ray Schalk), Termini Station (1989), The Rage: Carrie 2 (1999), Rules of Engagement (2000), Sunshine State (2002) y Flags of Our Fathers (2006) como General del Cuerpo de Marines de los Estados Unidos. Más tarde ese año, Clapp también apareció como Det Dick Walenski en "In Name and Blood", episodio 2 de la temporada 3 de Criminal Minds. Vida personal
Clapp estuvo casado anteriormente con la actriz Deborah Taylor de 1986 a 1999. Se casó con Elisabeth Gordon, a quien conoció a través de un amigo común, el 5 de noviembre de 2016.[7]
