Il connaît un grand succès international. Au Royaume-Uni, il se vend à plus de 1,5 million d'exemplaires[2]. Cinq singles en sont extraits, dont trois atteignent la première place des charts britanniques (Never Ever, le single double face A Under the Bridge / Lady Marmalade et Bootie Call)[3].
