Archibald McIntyre, né le à Comrie en Écosse et mort le à Montréal au Canada, est un charpentier, menuisier, ébéniste, plâtrier et entrepreneur canadien d'origine écossaise.
Vie personnelle
Archibald McIntyre naît le à Comrie en Écosse[1],[2]. Il émigre au Canada vers 1862[2],[3], et travaille dès lors en tant que charpentier et menuisier[4]. Vers 1870, il ouvre un atelier situé à l'intersection des rues Sainte-Catherine et Drummond, et s'affiche comme entrepreneur général[a 1],[a 2]. Il emploie alors des dizaines de charpentiers, menuisiers et ébénistes[5]. Archibald McIntyre décède le à Montréal au Canada[6]. Ses funérailles ont lieu le à sa résidence du 132, rue Mackay à Montréal[7]. Il est inhumé au cimetière Mont-Royal[8].
Le , Archibald McIntyre marrie Margareth Jones Morice[9]. Il a eu huit enfants : un fils, Archibald junior[a 3], ainsi que sept filles dont Mary Appleyard, Catherine, Ellen, Ethel et Janet[1],[10],[6]. Son épouse décède le à Pasadena en Californie, alors qu'elle n'a que 44 ans[11].
