Il s'agit de l'adaptation du roman La Mort de Bunny Munro de l'auteur et musicien australien Nick Cave, paru en 2010.
Après le suicide de sa femme, un commercial amer (Matt Smith) embarque son fils pour un périple à travers le Sussex. Mais alors qu’ils tentent de renouer, l’ombre d’un tueur en série qui frappe dans la région vient assombrir leur voyage.
