The Gallerist est un film américain réalisé par Cathy Yan et dont la sortie est prévue en 2026.
Il sera présenté en avant-première au festival du film de Sundance 2026.
Alors qu’elle se prépare pour sa présentation à Art Basel, la galeriste Polina Polinski (Natalie Portman) organise une visite anticipée à l’intention de l’influenceur artistique Dalton Hardberry (Zach Galifianakis), chargé d’examiner les œuvres de l’artiste émergente Stella Burgess (Da’Vine Joy Randolph). Dalton éreinte Polina, Stella et la galerie tout entière, jusqu’à ce qu’il tombe sur la pièce centrale : une sculpture monumentale intitulée « The Emasculator ». Cette œuvre hyperréaliste devient rapidement virale, ce qui amène la marchande d’art de renom Marianne Gorman (Catherine Zeta-Jones) à intervenir, donnant une nouvelle impulsion aux enjeux du marché de l’art.
