デニス・ジョンソン（Denis Hale Johnson、1949年7月1日 - 2017年5月24日）は、アメリカの作家。
1949年、旧西ドイツ、ミュンヘン生まれ。1983年、長篇小説Angelsでデビュー[2]。核戦争後の近未来を描くFiskadoro(1985)や、ニカラグアの内戦を題材とするThe Stars at Noon(1986)など長篇小説を精力的に描きつづける[3]。
1992年に発表した第一短篇集『ジーザス・サン』により、カルト的に支持される作家となった[3]。
2007年、ベトナム戦争を描いた長篇小説『煙の樹』(白水社)で全米図書賞を受賞、ニューヨーク・タイムズ年間最優秀図書にも選出された[2]。
2011年の中篇小説Train Dreamsはピューリッツァー賞の最終候補となる。
2014年、現代の西アフリカを舞台としたスパイ小説The Laughing Monstersを発表。2017年、肝臓癌のため67歳で死去[2]。
