ドナルド・クロフ（Donald W. Klopf, 1923年1月22日 – 2010年8月27日[1]）は、アメリカ合衆国のコミュニケーション学者、スピーチ教育者、ディベートコーチ。
ハワイ大学マノア校 (University of Hawaii at Manoa) スピーチ学科 (Department of Speech) 名誉教授。ウェストバージニア大学 (West Virginia University) コミュニケーション学科 (Department of Communication Studies) 名誉教授。太平洋コミュニケーション学会 (Communication Association of the Pacific) 初代会長。世界コミュニケーション学会 (World Communication Association) 初代会長。太平洋・アジアコミュニケーション学会 (Pacific and Asian Communication Association) 初代会長。[2] 日本を含め太平洋・アジア地域のスピーチ・コミュニケーション研究・教育の確立に大きく貢献した人物。
アメリカのウィスコンシン州ミルウォーキー生まれ。1955年ハワイ大学大学院スピーチ学研究科修士課程修了（M.A.）。1958年ワシントン大学 (University of Washington) 大学院スピーチ学研究科博士課程修了（Ph.D.）。[3] ノースウェスタン大学 (Northwestern University) とウィスコンシン大学 (University of Wisconsin) でも博士研究員として学ぶ。1958年よりハワイ大学マノア校スピーチ学科で教鞭を執る。長年学科長を務めた。1982年ハワイ大学を退職。その後1992年までウェストバージニア大学コミュニケーション学科で副学科長を務めた。[4]
日本や韓国のスピーチ・コミュニケーション研究者とも積極的に交流し、太平洋コミュニケーション学会、世界コミュニケーション学会、太平洋・アジアコミュニケーション学会を設立した。[5][6] ハワイ大学マノア校スピーチ学科教授で福沢諭吉の演説論研究で著名なウェイン・オックスフォード（Wayne H. Oxford）と共に日米コミュニケーションをテーマとした論文を同学科が出版する『Occasional Papers in Speech 』や『Communication』（太平洋コミュニケーション学会誌）などに掲載した。[7][8] 日本では獨協大学の石井敏との実証的比較文化研究[9][10][11][12][13][14][15]や日本大学の川島彪秀との三修社スピーチ・コミュニケーション・シリーズの刊行で知られる。カイルア (ハワイ州ホノルル郡) の自宅で逝去。[16] 著書、論文多数。
