概要
息子のシンドリと娘のイザドラもアルバムに参加した[1]。「sorrowful soil」と「ancestress」は2018年に亡くなったビョークの母に捧げられた[1]。シングル曲「Atopos」にはインドネシアのグループGabber Modus OperandiのKasimynが参加した[2]。
全英アルバムチャートでは最高位11位、トップ20アルバムとしては8作目になる[3]。
