• February 12 – An Experiment In Modern Music concert at Aeolian Hall (Manhattan) – premiere of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.
• February 15 – The inaugural concert of microtonal music in Mexico City by the Grupo Sonido 13, directed by Julián Carrillo, including the premiere of Preludio a Colón and four other of Carrillo's compositions, along with several works by his students, Rafael Adame [es], Elvira Larios and Soledad Padilla.
• February 18 – First recordings by Bix Beiderbecke.
• March 24 – Jean Sibelius conducts the world premiere of his Symphony No. 7 as Fantasia sinfonica No. 1 in Stockholm. The single-movement work will be the last symphony he completes.
