CMLD-2 is an experimental drug which acts as an inhibitor of the RNA-binding HuR protein. Elevated levels of HuR are found in many forms of cancer, and CMLD-2 is being researched for potential applications in cancer treatment.[1][2][3][4] It also has anti-inflammatory effects, and may also be useful for the treatment of neuropathic pain,[5][6] as well as asthma,[7] and Hepatitis B.[8]
