The Central District of Parsabad County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان پارس‌آباد) is in Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Parsabad.[3]

In 2012, villages were separated from Qeshlaq-e Shomali Rural District[a] in the formation of Eslamabad District.[5] The village of Owltan was converted to a city in 2021.[6]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 122,923 in 26,307 households.[7] The following census in 2011 counted 131,395 people in 33,857 households.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 118,144 inhabitants living in 33,527 households.[4]
