Dejang-e Bala (Persian: دجنگ بالا)[a] is a village in, and the former capital of, Taftan-e Jonubi Rural District of the Central District of Taftan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[4] The capital of the rural district has been transferred to the village of Tamandan.[5]
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 284 in 55 households, when it was in the former Nukabad District of Khash County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 435 people in 107 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 303 people in 91 households.[2]
In 2018, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Taftan County, and the rural district was transferred to the new Central District.[8]
