Diego da Conceição de Araújo

João da Rocha was born in Vila Viçosa in 1549 and ordained a priest in the Order of Saint Augustine.^[2] On 13 Nov 1595, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Clement VIII as Titular Archbishop of Calama.^[1][2] In 1596, he was consecrated bishop by Alexeu de Jesu de Meneses, Archbishop of Goa.^[2] He served as auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese until his death in 1597.^[1][2]
