Beck Martin (born November 20, 1987) is a Czech-born electronic music artist and producer based in London, United Kingdom. He is known for his work in electronic dance music and for appearing on the thirteenth season of the British television talent show The X Factor UK in 2016.[1]

Early life
Beck Martin was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic). In interviews, he has described developing an early interest in technology and creative activities during his childhood.[2]
He later relocated to the United Kingdom and settled in London, where he began focusing on music production.
Career
Early career
Martin began composing electronic dance music independently in the mid-2010s. By 2015, he had started releasing original material online.
The X Factor UK (2016)
In 2016, Martin appeared on the thirteenth season of The X Factor UK. At his audition, he performed his original song "Friday Night", which received widespread media coverage from British news outlets.[3][4]
Following the viral success of his audition, Martin was invited back to perform "Friday Night" at the Wembley Arena during the season finale to kick off the show.[5]
Later work
After The X Factor UK, Martin continued releasing electronic dance music independently. In 2024, a remix titled It's About Friday Night, created in collaboration with DJ Asym, received coverage from electronic music publications.[6][7]

Following his television appearance, Martin continued to release music independently. The track reached number 7 on the UK dance/club charts.[8][9]
In 2026, Martin was recognized with a Global Recognition Award for his "entrepreneurial vision" and success in maintaining independent control over his music catalog and brand development.[10]
