Early Life

Levine was born in New Haven, CT and grew up in New York City. His parents are both entrepreneurs and instilled independence from a young age. Levine moved to Florida at the age of 4 and attended Pine Crest School in Boca Raton where he sang in choir and played classical trombone until 7th grade. They moved to San Diego, CA where Levine began a career in music.[5] After graduating high school at the age of 16, he attended The Recording Arts Center at Studio West and received his Associate of Arts degree in October 2014 at the age of 18.[6] Levine moved to Los Angeles after graduation to pursue media production and music production.[7]

Career

Film and documentary work

While living in New York City, Levine co-wrote and directed a series, B-Sides, and received an Award of Recognition from the IndieFEST Film Awards in 2018.[8] B-Sides was also an official selection of the Official Latino Short Film Festival. The project was later screened at independent film festivals including Lift-Off New York in 2019.[9]

When Levine moved to Byron Bay, Australia in 2019, he worked at Howl and Moan Records on weekends while documenting the local music scene. He founded a local independent record label, Bolt Records, which collaborated with Howl and Moan, to throw events and build a strong local community for the arts.[10][11][12] In collaboration with artist Jimmy Davis, Levine filmed a documentary series. Howl and Moan: From Store to Stage, which was focused on the development of the local music scene.[3] Fall's Festival's local stage, curated by Howl and Moan Records, funded the documentary series and followed Mario Fraietta's curation of 4-nights of the festivals’ programming.[13]

Levine has produced music videos for many artists he has worked with musically such as Atmosphere, Fences, Brother Ali, Drew Pelisek of Weatherbox, and more.[14][15][16][17][18]

Music production and performance

In early 2020, under the moniker Marc Creek, Levine released an indie-folk EP titled Acres. The entire EP was recorded with Shure SM57's in his room while collaborating digitally with musicians in California, Melbourne, New York City, and North Carolina.[19]

In 2021, while living in North Carolina, Levine co-produced and performed in the experimental music duo H A U N T E R alongside Sander Bryce. Their album Dream the Day Away was a sprawl of future beats, electronic hip-hop and experimental neo soul compositions across 22-tracks. When Levine joined the solo project and turned it into a duo, he shifted the focus to hip-hop grooves and textured, psychedelic experimentation for different vocalists.[20][21] H A U N T E R's records were often collaborative works, sometimes consisting of featured vocalists on every track.[22] The project was an organic and sample-based approach to jazz and hip-hop.[23] Through H A U N T E R, Levine began working closely with Lo Artiz.[24][25][26] Soon after the release of this record, Levine stumbled across a hip-hop collective in Los Angeles via Instagram, which prompted him to move to Los Angeles from North Carolina.[27][28]

Levine became the manager, drummer and producer for the Los Angeles–based collective NOFUN!. The 10-person group ethos was to come together and be a community.[27] Under his management and live show production, NOFUN! toured with national acts, such as Atmosphere, and played venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater, Lollapalooza Paris, Rock Werchter, Latitude Festival, Electric Picnic and Isle of Wight Festival.[29][30][31][32][27][33] NOFUN!’s live show is often classified as infectiously upbeat, with its genre described as ranging from alternative rock to bedroom pop to West Coast hip-hop.[34]

In late 2025, Levine chose to pursue producing music full-time. Most recently, Levine produces and cowrites with Christopher Mansfield for musical project Fences, contributing to video production and releasing albums including Prairie Tremens and Now She's Long Gone Sun Squint.[35] The album featured two singles called “Sun Squint” featuring Damien Jurado and “Drugs Like You” featuring Marilyn Manson.[36][37][38][39][40][41] Levine encourages featured vocalists and collaborations in his work with Fences and other artists.[42]

Since late 2025, Levine has collaborated with Nate Fox and Nico Segal on music for artists including KYLE.[43][44]

Levine also collaborates with DJ Superior on The Rise of Dark Man X, an archival presentation centered on unreleased material from the late rapper DMX.[45][46][47][48] He has co-produced DMX music with Superior, such as "F That" which was released on June 5th, 2026.[49][50][51]
