History
Niagara Falls Comic Con was founded by current Niagara Falls City Counsellor, Chris Dabrowski.[1][2] The inaugural convention took place in 2011 at a local Dave & Buster’s in the city.[3] The following year brought in additional guests and a noticeable jump in ticket sales, prompting event organizers to relocate to the Niagara Falls Convention Centre where it continues to take place yearly in June.[3] The most recent attendance estimate came after the 2024 edition, which attracted between 25,000 and 30,000 people.[4]
Attractions
In addition to typical attractions of fandom conventions, Niagara Falls Comic Con includes the following:
- A large emphasis on wrestling and wrestlers[5]
- Niche Canadian guests and attractions (i.e. reunions) including Degrassi, The Big Comfy Couch, and Trailer Park Boys.[6][7]
- Memorabilia and Fandom displays such as The Dukes of Hazzard’s General Lee car and the Batcopter from the original Batman television series.[8]
NFCC Holiday Edition: In 2025, NFCC created an additional event in December: a one-day, holiday-inspired Comic Con that included celebrity guests from movies such as Home Alone and A Christmas Story.[9]

NFCC organizers publish a full guest list every year that includes a range of performers from film, television, animation (including anime), and professional wrestling.[17] Past lineups have included actors from franchises such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, The Walking Dead, and Power Rangers.[17]
As of early 2026, the official Niagara Falls Comic Con website self-reported 312 previous celebrity guests that have attended.[18]
