Shadyantra is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language crime thriller teleplay directed by Ganesh Yadav and written by Suresh Jayram. Produced by Shailja Kejriwal and presented by Zee Theatre, it premiered on ZEE5 on 18 December 2022. The teleplay stars Hina Khan, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Sumukha, and Anang Desai.[1]

Plot

Natasha Malhotra Tiwari, the heiress to a construction business, lives with her husband Rohan Tiwari. Their lives are disrupted when a murder occurs, prompting a police investigation.

As the investigation progresses, multiple suspects emerge, each with concealed motives. The case uncovers layers of deception, ambition, and interpersonal conflict.[2]

Reception

Shadyantra received generally negative reviews from critics. Shaheen Irani of OTTplay gave the teleplay a rating of 1 out of 5 and described it as "overdramatic theatrics", criticising its performances and lack of suspense.[6]

Archika Khurana of The Times of India gave the teleplay a rating of 2 out of 5 and criticised it for its predictable narrative and weak execution, writing that it "fails to hold your attention".[7]
