The municipality lies at an altitude of 499 metres (1,637 ft)^[2] and covers an area of 22.93 km² (8.85 sq mi) (2025).^[4]

It has a population of 1165 people (31 December 2025).^[6]

In year 2021 was 1050 people by ethnicity 1044 as Slovak, 8 as Czech, 5 as Italian, 2 as Not found out, 1 as Silesian, 1 as Polish, 1 as French and 1 as English.
