Lakeside is a residential suburb of Cape Town, South Africa, located in the city's Southern Suburbs. It is situated about 22 kilometres south of the Cape Town CBD. The suburb is located to the south of Westlake and to the north of Muizenberg. Its name is derived from its close proximity to the Sandvlei wetland, which is a part of the Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve.[3]

The Lakeside Centre, a small retail centre, is located within the suburb.[4]
