Madalena Almeida (born Cascais, June 28, 1997) is a Portuguese actress, winner of the 2024 Sophia Awards in the Best Supporting Actress category.

Madalena Almeida was born on June 28, 1997, in Cascais.[2]

She began her career in 2016 on television in the soap opera Santa Bárbara, on TVI. Also in 2016, she made her fiction debut on SIC in the soap opera Amor Maior.[3]

In 2017, she returned to TVI to play Joana Viegas in the first season of A Herdeira.[4]

In 2018, she made her debut on RTP1 in the series Circo Paraíso.[5] and he was the antagonist in the soap opera Alma e Coração[6] from SIC in the same year.[7]

In 2019, she joined the 6th season of Conta-me Como Foi playing the role of Luz, on RTP1.[8]

In 2020, she joined the cast of the series Golpe de Sorte on SIC.[9]

Also in 2020, she filmed the younger version of the character Linda Sousa in Amor Amor, also on SIC, which premiered in 2021.

In 2021 she returned to RTP1 to play Rita Paixão in the series Até Que a Vida Nos Separe.

In film, she made her debut in Ramiro (2017), a feature film directed by Manuel Mozos.[10][11]

Awards and recognition

In 2024, she was awarded the Best Supporting Actress prize at the Sophia Awards for her role in the film Mal Viver, directed by João Canijo.[12][13]
