Marak (Persian: مرك)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kahshang Rural District[4] in the Central District of Birjand County, South Khorasan province, Iran.

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 532 in 136 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 568 people in 155 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 569 people in 151 households, the most populous in its rural district.[2]
