The municipality lies at an altitude of 346 metres (1,135 ft)^[2] and covers an area of 2.59 km² (1.00 sq mi) (2025).^[4]

It has a population of 1515 people (31 December 2025).^[6]

In year 2021 was 1311 people by ethnicity 1264 as Slovak, 47 as Not found out, 12 as Czech, 4 as Hungarian, 3 as Other, 2 as Rusyn, 2 as Russian, 1 as Jewish, 1 as Ukrainian, 1 as Turkish, 1 as Serbian, 1 as Silesian, 1 as Polish, 1 as German, 1 as Moravian and 1 as French.
