History
Planning
The planning application was originally submitted to Manchester City Council in January 2022 for a slightly taller part-34, part-11, part-9 and part-7 storey residential building comprising a total of 485 dwellings.[6]
Following two refusals by the city council's planning committee in May and June 2022 due to its proposed height, the tower was reduced from 34 storeys to 33.[7] Planning approval was subsequently obtained in July 2022.[8][9] A non material amendment was submitted to Manchester City Council in January 2023 for internal design changes and a slightly decreased total of 477 dwellings. It was approved the same month.[10]
Construction
Construction of the building commenced in January 2023[11] and it was topped out in November 2024.[12] The development was initially planned to be finished in 2025,[13] though completed in February 2026.[14]
